A tribunal hearing has determined the penalties in the wash up of a Kyabram District League fracas.

Saturday’s reserves elimination final clash between Tallygaroopna and Avenel had a heated melee between the two teams near the end of the match, with a clip of the altercation going semi-viral online.

A player engaged in the scuffle, from Tallygaroopna, was penalised.

Reserves player Harrison Ring received a two-match ban for engaging in rough conduct against an opponent, graded as intentional, medium impact and contact to the body.

Ring will now miss the first two games of the Redlegs’ 2025 campaign.

Meanwhile, Tallygaroopna’s Rhys Bucktin was charged with headbutting an opponent or making forceful contact to an opponent using the head as well as striking in the seniors match that followed the reserves stoush.

It was reported by the match day umpire and graded as intentional, medium impact and judged to be high/groin/chest contact.

Bucktin was slapped with a three-match ban via tribunal decision.

No Avenel players were penalised by the tribunal during the hearing.
