Three Shepparton Athletics Club members in particular headlined the results, with Alice Ludlow, Antonio Vaitohi and Aden Schreck placing in their respective events.
Ludlow was on song in her shot put class, claiming second with a 10.5m throw in the female under-14 category.
Another to fire on all cylinders was Schreck, who nabbed third place in the male under-15 javelin with a monster effort of 29m.
The star of the show, however, was super sprinter Vaitohi.
Vaitohi blitzed the under-20 100m final in 10.91 seconds to take home gold by the slightest of margins — one hundredth of a second to be exact.
In the open men’s section, Glenn McMillan ran an impressive 14th with a time of 4:11.69 in the 1500m event, while Kyle Murphy, who competed by invitation due to his college regulations, placed fourth in the triple jump with a 15.02m leap to round out the results.
Moving forward, all Shepparton Athletics Club competitions in March move to Saturday starting this weekend.
Gates will open at 1pm with competition commencing at 1.30pm.
