Saints topple Tigers

Kepler Lukies continued his strong form from last week with the bat (34 from 82), joined by Ben Lucas (25 from 39) and Brandon Nicholls (43 from 36).

But once the Tigers lost Nicholls to the hands of Berrigan captain Jacob Bartlett off the delivery of Mathew Ross, Katamatite struggled to chase down its runs.

And before too long, the Tigers were all out for 151 - collapsing from 3-127 and 4-138 as Ross (7-50) and Bartlett (3-21) ripped the game apart.

With only 35 overs remaining in the contest, the Saints were able to stave off any Katamatite hopes of a reverse-outright and claw their way to 7-117.

With another two-day date booked with top-of-the-ladder Deniliquin at home this weekend, the Tigers will have to give all they’ve got to remain in finals contention.
