Rochester returned to its dominant best on Saturday afternoon, pumping Tatura by 138 points at Moon Oval in one of the most lopsided results of the Goulburn Valley League season to date.
The Tigers were simply too powerful, piling on goals from everywhere in a 23.19 (157) to 2.7 (19) demolition, reasserting their place in the premiership frame.
Eight players hit the scoreboard for Rochester, with Kyle Waters the main beneficiary in front of the big sticks, finishing with six.
Hugh and Wil Hamilton each added four in strong support, while Lachlan Joyce, James McPhee, Mitchell Trewhella, Hunter Wileman all chipped in with two apiece.
A 10-goal first half set the tone and Rochester showed no signs of taking its foot off the pedal.
After the main break the host piled on 89 points to Tatura’s 11 in what can only be described as a one-sided affair.

After falling to the undefeated Shepparton Swans in round 5, the Tigers have responded emphatically, racking up two big wins by a combined 172 points.
Now at 6-1 for the season, Rochester sits third on the ladder behind only the unbeaten Swans and Bombers.
Named among the best for the Tigers were Waters, Trewhella, Gordon, Wileman and Cooper Hamilton.
For Tatura, it was another bruising afternoon in what’s becoming a challenging season. The Bulldogs remain winless after seven rounds and managed 2.7 in front of goal against a rampaging outfit.
Curtis Ryan, Michael Archer, Comanche Walls, Ryan Young and Xavier Hutchison were named in the best for the visitors.
With five wins now coming by 30 points or more, Rochester will take plenty of confidence into next weekend’s clash with Shepparton United at Deakin Reserve.
