A quick start from the Hoppers had them carrying a strong 12-5 lead at quarter-time, before a second-quarter blitz had them out to an imposing 13-goal lead at the half.
Calling the shots for the Rennie under-15s from the sidelines on Saturday was coach Georgia Hope, who struggled to contain her excitement after the win.

“It’s very surreal,” Hope said after the game.
“I haven’t coached a premiership side before, so this is my first win.
“They’ve just been amazing all year, I’ve got such a talented group of girls.”
And that was there for all to see on Saturday morning, as the Hoppers put on a show in the win with a fast and efficient style of netball that their opponents struggled to contain.

“They’re a very calm team,” Hope said.
“I think they use their nerves to their advantage, they work together and have played together for years now.
“They came through 11s, 13s and now 15s and it shows that they’ve played together for years.”

At the heart of most good things for Rennie was midcourt maestro Laynee Rhodes, who set the tone for her side and earned MVP for her performance through the middle of the court.
“My vice-captain Laynee was a huge standout today, she steps up as captain and vice-captain every week when Heleena needs her,” Hope said.
“I wish I could say all of them, it was an awesome win and I’m just so proud.”
