Making the move to Bendigo Spirit after spending six seasons with Melbourne Boomers, Garrick posted a combined 42 points for her new faction in its first two pre-season games.
It eclipsed the amount piled on by her teammates as Spirit fell in both affairs, but reminded her competition exactly what the multi-faceted guard can do when she is fully fit.
Garrick kick-starts her third WNBL stint with the Bendigo outfit on Saturday when the Spirit treks to Dandenong Stadium to face Southside Flyers and, not surprisingly, the former Shepparton Gators junior has already tasted blood against the reigning champs.
The 29-year-old turned it on when the two sides met during the pre-season, dropping 23 points in a 92-68 loss.
Garrick, now entering her 12th WNBL season, will be searching for more support from her teammates when lining up against the Flyers in round one, with many of the Spirit’s key contributors missing from the November 20 friendly.
Following the clash with the Flyers, Garrick will go up against her former club when the Spirit welcomes Melbourne Boomers to town for its first home game of the season on December 8.
Tip off for the Spirit v Flyers contest is at 6pm, with all 84 regular-season games and finals to be broadcast live on Kayo.
