After Kyabram’s recent GVL grand final triumph, one of its heroes in that win, Tom Holman, announced he was playing with Tongala in the Murray League next season.
Star crumber Liam Ogden is also on the move, returning to Essendon and District League club Pascoe Vale with his brother Eamonn.
Rising star Nic Jephson will also be missing, trying out with Geelong League club Newton Chilwell, which is coached by former Geelong superstar Stevie Johnson.
But in positive new for fans, the Bombers have lured two former players back to the club for next season.
Ex-VFL player Rhys Clark is to return to his home club for another season and another former senior player, Aaron Hayes, is also making a return to where it all started.
Clark played with Kyabram last year and this year played in the AFL Cairns competition from his base on the Gold Coast.
Another player returning to the Bombers next season is livewire small man Ruben Rode, who wore the Kyabram jumper in 2023.
Former Merrigum and Tongala player Jack Sinclair will also join the Bombers for the 2026 season.
Co-coach Corey Carver said despite the departures he was confident Kyabram would be in the thick of the finals action again next season.
‘‘We might not quite have the depth we had this year but our best 10 or a dozen players will be as good as any in the league,’’ Carver said.
