A throng of Goulburn Valley young guns have been listed in Bowls Victoria’s under-18 trial squads for the 2025 representative season, hoping to make the final cut for the State Tri Series and Nationals later on in the year.
In the boys’ side, Kyabram’s Charlie Boswood has been selected alongside former Bombers’ teammate Josh Cartwright (Wunghnu), while Moama’s Brock Keenan was also named in the 12-strong team.
Meanwhile, Moama pair Mackenzie Parsons and Gracie Retallick were announced as part of the girls’ squad.
Moama duo Mackenzie Parsons and Gracie Retallick were recently named in Bowls Victoria’s under-18 girls’ trial squad.
A statement released by Bowls Victoria shed light on the next stages the GV-selected stars will undertake on their path to state representation.
“The squad will trial under the supervision of Matt Flapper, state under-18 coach, and selectors at Club Sunbury, partner of the Bowls Victoria Junior Program, in late June,” the statement read.
“Once finalised, the selected side of 16 will compete against NSW and QLD in the annual Tri-Series, also hosted at Club Sunbury.
“A reduced side of 10 will then be selected to compete in the Australian under-18 Championships, to be hosted by Devonport Country Club in November, as part of The Nationals 2025.
“Good luck to the selected athletes and all the very best at trials.”
