Goulburn Valley, Murray leagues see more than a dozen selected to trial for Netball Victoria

The recent Association Championships play a key role in Netball Victoria’s talent pathway, and sure enough, a slew of stars impressed for their respective leagues.

Now, Netball Victoria has announced the players selected to take the next step in their development.

The organisation has released its list of competitors invited to trial for either the 2027 Talent Academy and Victoria’s State under-17 and under-19 netball sides, with North-East Talent Academy Trials schedule for November 14 at the Shepparton VISY Centre.

The Murray Netball League has proven a hotbed for talented junior netballers with 14 players invited to trial this year, while the Goulburn Valley League’s success was also recognised with 11 picked.

The Shepparton Netball Association (four players), Picola District League (three) and the Kyabram District League (Tessa Hueston) will see how their stars perform as well.

They’re the future of the local courts, and for these talented juniors this could be the start of higher honours.
