The Greater Shepparton product has spent the break honing his craft and getting ready for the championship to resume.
Jacobson last raced in July, when the championship visited Townsville.
This weekend will be a home race for the Team Sydney driver, with racing heading to Sydney Motorsport Park.
And fans can expect a thrilling action-packed fiesta of racing, with round eight’s Sydney SuperNight headlined by Saturday night’s headline race.
Jacobson, who is currently placed 22nd in the 2021 Supercars Championship, enters this weekend with plenty of confidence behind him.
The 2016 Super2 champion revealed earlier this month to Supercars.com that he spent his time fine-tuning his skills for the second half of the campaign.
"I’ve just been working on my driving while we've had the opportunity and catch up to speed with the mid-season break,’’ he said.
"I had a conversation with Paul Morris after the second Townsville race and I said, 'I think I can improve my driving, can you help me out?'
"It's been a really good journey for me and I'm excited about seeing what I can do when I hit the track at Sydney."
Now in his third year in the Supercars fraternity, Jacobson has been out-performing his more experienced teammate, Fabian Coulthard.
Jacobson out-qualified and out-raced Coulthard — a 12-time race winner — in the final two outings in Townsville.
He sits ahead of his teammate on the championship ladder.
Action kicks off on Friday with practice, followed by race 20 on Saturday evening and races 21 and 22 on Sunday.
• You can catch Jacobson in action on the Seven Network, Foxtel or Kayo.
