Gears, chains and legs of all shapes and sizes got a serious workout at the weekend as Shepparton hosted the Fruits of the Valley Cyclo-Cross event for the third year running.

Cyclo-Cross (CX), a multi-terrain discipline of bike riding and steeplechase, was a smash hit in 2021 when Shepparton hosted its inaugural Fruits of the Valley event, added to the State CX calendar as rounds three and four of the series.
Competitors young and old flew around Shepparton Velodrome and BMX facility, with Yarra Ranges’ Juliette Haddow topping the A-grade women’s leaderboard after amassing 96 points throughout the event.
Alpine Cycling Club’s Rob Doyle leads the way in A-grade men after his 98-point showing.
