Each side has notched a win in the Goulburn Valley Playing Area weekend pennant division three competition following round seven action.

Shepparton Golf got over the line to clinch its maiden win of the summer thanks to a narrow 14-shot win over Mooroopna.

The rink battles may have been shared in the 14-101 to 4-87 contest, however, it was the efforts of skip Anthony Giovanetti and his rink that proved decisive.

Lead Noel King, second Jennifer McLure, third Scott Bohun and Giovanetti were too strong for their rink opponents and ran out to a crucial 38-16 triumph.

The win keeps Golf locked on the bottom of the ladder, while Seymour VRI holds the upper hand in top spot.
