It was almost a crime that the region’s young racqueteers had to wait seven weeks to hit the courts again.
However, at the weekend, they finally got their fix.
Shepparton Junior Tennis Association action resumed on Saturday for the first time since mid-December, drawing hundreds of aces to the baseline.
The A-grade witnessed a host of enthralling encounters, and among them was Kialla Park Old Students White’s 7-43 to 1-31 victory over Shepparton Lawn Green.
Yi Reh Tay and Harry Pell were involved in five of the combine’s seven rubber victories, including a bagelling of Tristan Baldi and Cooper Pogue.
News photographer Megan Fisher swung by the Kialla courts to capture the players in their element.
