Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club’s Easter weekend tournament completed its 102nd edition on Monday as players from around the region, and even travellers from across the state, embarked on the lawn courts in Shepparton.
Across the long weekend, players worked through fixtures before finals were held on Monday, while a one point slam was also held on Saturday night, won by Shepparton Lawn gun Kade Madigan.
Eliza Bingham won the open ladies’ singles, claiming a third Easter plate after winning the tournament in 2022 and 2024.
Olivia Quigley lost the bout 7-5, 6-4, coming runner-up for a third consecutive year.
In the men’s final, Melburnians Sam Thompson and Marcus Nield competed in the grand slam.
