But following round two’s defeat of Shepparton United, the Goulburn Valley League has rubber stamped the label.
Marchbank played her 200th GVL A-grade netball match last weekend, just three seasons after notching her 200th across all grades at the club.
In doing so, the steadfast interceptor has earned GVL life membership.
Marchbank is a flag hero at the club, having aided the Magpies in its 2024 premiership campaign.
Euroa coach Ellie Warnock has played alongside Marchbank since juniors, stating the defender’s prowess is nothing she’s “ever seen before”.
“It’s been a privilege to coach Tylah and be a part of her 200th A-grade milestone,” Warnock said.
“To play at this level for so long is an incredible achievement and really highlights her ability and impact on the game over many years.
“She’s such a smart defender, her footwork and speed in the circle is like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
“She’s the type of player who can change a game in a matter of moments, and a bit of the reason I keep heckling her to come back!”
Euroa’s campaign has begun in convincing fashion, dispatching Mansfield and Benalla in the opening two rounds of the season – the latter being Marchbank’s former club as a junior.
But there’s no doubt Marchbank will be remembered as a black and white stalwart – hold the red – as she becomes the latest to earn league life membership.
“I’ve had the pleasure of playing alongside her since junior Benalla Saints day,” Warnock said.
“Reaching 200 games and life membership is a huge accomplishment, and it’s something she should be really proud of.
“We feel extremely privileged that she’s a part of this club.
“Forever a premiership player.”
Marchbank’s 200th A-grade game follows the round one milestones achieved in the GVL netball by Mansfield’s Leonie Berry and Mooroopna’s Ash Lancaster.
Berry tallied an astounding 500th club games for the Eagles after debuting in senior A-grade in 1988.
Nearly 40 years later, Berry crossed the painted white line for a staggering half-millennium occasion against Euroa.
Meanwhile at the Cattery, Lancaster was awarded with GVL life membership too after her 200th A-grade match for the navy blue and white.
The Cats trumped Shepp Swans in the milestone match, before securing a second win of the season against Tatura last Saturday.
