After a five-win Goulburn Valley League campaign, Euroa has wasted no time ensuring it launches directly back up the ladder in 2027.
And they’ve already made a splash in the off-season with two big signings.
Will Hayes is headed back to Memorial Oval after a season with Kyabram District League club Violet Town, the star midfielder set to make his first appearance in the black and white in three years.
The midfielder played six games in the KDL this season when not busy heading up the family-owned Lindsay Park racing stable with brothers JD and Ben, but his class was apparent for the Towners whenever he played
Now, Euroa welcomes back the former club junior to complement a young Pies GVL squad.
Renowned as a prolific accumulator and classy user of the football, the former Carlton and Western Bulldogs player last suited up for the Pies during the 2024 campaign.
However, he won’t be the only one bolstering the Euroa midfield.
The Pies have also attracted the services of VFL ruckman Tom Hofert for next season in a big boost to the clubs ruck stocks.
Hofert has nominated Euroa as his aligned club after 53 games for Port Melbourne and now Frankston where he has played 19 games this season, including the Dolphins elimination final.
The 24-year-old has been noted for his athleticism despite standing at 203cm, and he is set to be a valuable inclusion when not on VFL duties with Frankston.
