Clearance lodged for Eddie Betts to line up for Rumbalara

Former Carlton and Adelaide superstar Eddie Betts will don the blue, red and yellow to play for Rumbalara on Saturday.

The Murray Football League confirmed the club had lodged a clearance for former AFL star had been in a tweet on Thursday night.

The club later confirmed Betts would line up for the club on Saturday.

Rumbalara hosts Deniliquin on Saturday, with the club searching for its first win and the Rams in red-hot form with three wins from three starts.

If cleared, Rumbalara will be able to select the 35-year-old for Saturday’s clash.

Betts played 350 AFL games across both Carlton and Adelaide and finished his career with 640 goals, including several goal of the year winners.

First bounce at Rumbalara is at 2.00pm.
