Local cricketers Lochie Holloway and Noah Bradley recently travelled to Maitland in Sydney to take part in the Combined High Schools Cricket Championships.

The boys came up against the best high school cricketers in the state as part of the Riverina team.
Sydney West was the first challenge for the Riverina team.
Despite their best efforts, Riverina’s total of 116 was bested by Sydney West’s 3/167.
The Deni boys captured all three wickets, with Lochie posting 2/24.
The next opponents were Hunter, with Riverina’s 160 outscored by Hunter’s 230.
After this match the boys finished the day with a nice swim at the beach.
Apparently no favours were given with the draw, as Riverina played two teams which would go on to make finals on day two.
Sydney East racked up 221 runs to Riverina’s 132.
Lochie took 1/33 off eight overs in this match.
Riverina’s final match would determine who finished seventh for the championships.
The boys were pipped by two runs in the play off against Western and finished in eighth.
Lochie captured two wickets in this match, finishing with a very consistent effort for the championships.
