Midweek Pennant, March 3
Sadly, we report that both our Midweek teams lost their Grand finals.
Division A1 lost to Wangaratta - congratulations Wangaratta on your fifth consecutive Midweek Pennant premiership.
Division A3 lost to the very strong and competitive Commercial Club Albury Bowls Club.
Our members and Management Committee once again thank Club Corowa for your continued support.
Upcoming Events
There is a general meeting and presentation of the Ted Hovard Pennant Player Count on Sunday, March 22 at 12:30pm.
Names are required for catering purposes please.
The Annual General Meeting and presentation of championship trophies for 2025-26 is on Sunday, May 3.
Membership subscriptions are now due.
The Match Committee will be available after Tuesday Social Bowls to receive your subscriptions - $120 per player.
All members who are financial before the Annual General Meeting will receive a free Club Shirt and shorts.
Subscriptions received after the AGM will receive a free Shirt only.
Club Championship Knockout matches in progress are, men's and ladies 100up, ladies triples final and mixed Pairs.
Please organise your games ASAP.
Corowa RSL Bowls hosted the Corowa Anglers Club social Bowls day on Sunday, March 8.
A great social networking and lots of fun.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
The Business House and Sporting Club Fours Tournament which had been running for four weeks was finalised on Wednesday evening.
Corowa Civic wish to thank all businesses and clubs for supporting this event, and hope all enjoyed themselves with great bowls and lots of laughter.
Stan Bromley was present to pass on the shield to this year’s winners, thank you Stan.
A big thank you to Civic for making the prize money available to all place getters, the recipients were very pleased with their prizes.
We hope you will be back next year, hopefully it will be your turn to win.

Thank you to the organisers, the many members of the club helping each Wednesday evening, doing the many jobs to run this event.
Social Bowls has commenced each Saturday and Wednesday morning commencing at 10.00am, names in by 9.15am at the latest.
When daylight saving finishes on April 5, games will start at 12.30pm on both Saturday and Wednesday.
Our first game of social took place on Saturday morning, with pairs being played.
Winners – Ian Lewis and Jan Wandel-Webber Runners Up – Lynton Ford and Margaret Watson.
On Sunday morning another round of the Club Handicap Singles in both Men and Ladies were played.
Margaret Watson defeated Annette Norman and Lynne Pyke had a win over Maree Lewis.
Guy Rowe defeated Steve Rodway and Tony Larkin defeated Terry Shields in a very close game.
Lynne Pyke will play Margaret Watson next Saturday morning at 9.30am in the Grand Final.
Entries are still being taken for the Easter Tournament – Good Friday Open Triples, Easter Saturday Open Pairs and Easter Sunday Open Triples.

Eileen Ide and Annette Norman are taking entries for the Ladies Two Day Fours Tournament on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th May, good prize money being offered.
The Recycled Stubbies Day has been changed and will now be held on Sunday 15th March with a 10.00am start.
Please add your name to the list in the Clubhouse for catering purposes.
Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls Club
Sunday saw us hosting a tournament for 72 bowlers from around our region.
Tuesday's social winners on 17 and 19 (36) were Peter Manning, Georgie Agnew and Gloria McCluskey.
Three teams tied up on (21) for the runners-up, but on count back it was the team of Jan Webber, Angela Clapton, and Joe Carnivale.
Thurday's winners on 16 and 17 (33) were Glenda Willett, Ellen Buckley, and Peter Manning.
Runners-up on 15 and 15 (30) the team of Sylvia Williamson, Marie Leary, and Jan Webber.
Corowa Anglers Club Inc annual ‘Restock the Murray Bowls Day’
On Sunday 08th March the Corowa Anglers Club Inc held its 32nd ‘Restock the Murray Bowls Day’ at Corowa RSL Bowls Club.
All funds raised go towards purchasing native fingerlings for release in the Corowa area.
Between 1995 - 2026 the Corowa Anglers Club Inc has funded and released 202,845 murray cod and 457,724 yellow belly.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event.
A total of 12 teams entered, and a great day was had by all with plenty of good will and banter.
A huge thanks to our sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible.
It’s great to see community supporting community.
