McEwen Reserve Green leads the way on 22 points — with St Brendan's, Bunbartha (both 20) and Murchison (16) the teams to join it in the A1 semi-finals if the regular season was to finish now.
A chasing quartet follows as Old Students, Shepparton North Gold, Karramomus and St Andrew's all sit on 12 points, while McEwen Reserve Orange (10), Shepparton North Red, Central Park White and McEwen Reserve Gray occupy the rest of what will eventually be the finals positions on eight points.
There is still hope for Central Park Blue and Undera to reel in at least one of those outfits, but the duo will need to put the foot down shortly, with neither able to gain any points as yet.
At the weekend Murchison put in a dominant showing, defeating North Gold 8-51 to 1-23.
Mark Jackson and Peter Carkeek found set success for Gold, but the rest of the match was all one-way traffic.
Christopher Drew, Shae Ewart, Alice Cunningham, Jake Ewart, Narelle Gregory and Terry Drew were all involved in the triumphant action.
McEwen Reserve Green (9-54 to 0-18) and Old Students (9-54 to 0-19) were even more comprehensive with their performances, while St Brendan's, Central Park White, Bunbartha and St Andrew's also tasted victory.
