A hub for Porsche-specific racing, the festival lands at Winton from January 14 to 16 with racing, a show 'n shine event, trade displays and more to light up the track and surrounds during three days of octane-fuelled action.
Director Steve Kepper, who championed the idea alongside Stutt’Fest partner Sven Burchartz, indicated the response had been overwhelming since going public in late September.
“The response has been fantastic — from the time we did the social media launch we’ve had over 200 expressions of interest,” Kepper said.
“Everyone we’ve talked to in the Porsche community are bringing trucks with five, six cars down.
“We’ve really been quite blown away by the level of interest.”
The idea behind Stutt’Fest was born out a plan forged between Kepper and Burchartz to host a track day.
But the more they discussed it, the more excited they became.
And as that proposed event turned into something much bigger, they saw as the perfect opportunity to put on a festival and celebrate coming out of lockdown.
“We want to create an environment where you can come down and camp and race with your mates for bragging rights at the bar,” Kepper said.
“One of the keys to this event is if you’ve got a Porsche, we’ll find a category to run it in — it’s really about making inclusions.
“It is serious racing, but we are also looking to cater for various skill levels.”
Kepper stated the racing was only half of the action at Stutt’Fest.
With plenty of attractions to keep entrants entertained off the tarmac, as well as the marvel of Winton during summer, when asked whether Kepper was out to make Stutt’Fest an annual occasion he only had one word to say.
“Absolutely.”
