International experience for GVBBL outfit

The marquee names keep rolling in for the second edition of the Goulburn Valley Bush Bash League.

Action heads to Cobram on Sunday for round two, and host franchise the Cobram Panel Works Panthers have managed to wrangle an international wicketkeeper for their clash against reigning premier SRP Mud Dogs.

Netherlands big-hitter Scott Edwards — who has notched 33 appearances for his country — has joined the Panthers, bringing plenty of excitement to the outfit.

Having notched 334 runs at an average of 23.86 and strike rate of 145.85 in Twenty20 internationals for Netherlands — and coming off 121 from 108 deliveries in Victorian Premier Cricket action for Richmond at the weekend — Edwards will be a huge addition for the Panthers.

But what the right-hander is most famous for is an unbelievable 137 not out from 39 deliveries in the 2019 European Cricket League final.

The Mud Dogs have added another marquee to their list in the form of Strathdale-Maristians batsman Jack Neylon.

Neylon has 408 runs at 45.33 for the combine this season and will further bolster the top order of the Mud Dogs.
