By Shepparton News

The Tuesday pennant side continued its good form with a five-shot win against our neighbour Kyabram.

Wendy Baxter continued her winning streak and won by nine shots, Lee Chant won by five shots and Maureen Shepherd lost by nine shots.

Today we travel to Shepparton Park.

Pennant practice continues at 4pm on Thursday. There is always a grounds working bee at 3pm to do any tasks that need to be done.

The meals on Thursday are proving popular and thanks to all those who are contributing with salads or sweets.

Our next pokie trip is on November 24 to Mulwala RSL and arrangements are the same. Please book early as seating is getting vshort and I would hate anyone to miss out; simply phone Betty on 5853 1684, Meryl on 5852 1449 or Joe on 0428 552 466.

On Saturday our division four played Murchison at Murchison and lost by 12 shots.

We won two and a half rinks, so lost 13 points to five.

Gary Mott, David Pettifer, Graeme Hubble and Chris French beat Derek Anderson 26-23.

Jim Arthur, Stan Coldwell, Peter Hoare and Clive Baxter beat Geoff Higgins 25-23.

Rob Dennis, Greg Pell, Neil Gardiner and Barry McMeeken drew with Wayne Brown 20-20.

Wayne Shepherd, Adrian Barry, Ken Phillips and Carmen Quattrocchi lost to Bill Saunders 29-12.

On Tuesday last week we presented Clive and Wendy Baxter, Ken Phillips and Noreen Earl with a super veteran’s badge, which is given to bowlers who have reached 80 years of age.

This week we play host to Euroa.
