The Bombers - still relative Cricket Shepparton newcomers after crossing over to the competition last summer - compiled a winning total with the bat against Euroa before making sure of six points with the ball.
Waaia captain Brayden Carey won the toss and elected to bat on his home deck, but was shortly back in the sheds after departing for four.
The Bombers were able to knuckle down after that though as Jordan Cleeland (65 not out) and Mitch Cleeland (49) steered their side to 4-191 from its allotted 45 overs.
Fletcher Paul was in everything early for the Magpies, taking 1-26 as well as snaring a run out to put his team on top to start the day.
Jake Smith (1-35) and Sean Hemeter (1-49) also claimed wickets for Euroa, but the side could not match Waaia's efforts with bat in hand.
The Magpies lost steady wickets to begin their innings before Rod Jones (27) was joined by Lucas Paul (38) at the crease.
The pair attempted to right the ship for Euroa, but after putting on 21 together Jones too was on the way back to the pavilion and the Bombers, sensing their opportunity to strike, did just that.
Euroa lost 4-11 and was eventually bundled out for 100 in the 35th over.
It was a genuine team bowling effort from the Bombers that steered them to victory, with six of the seven bowlers used taking at least one wicket.
Mitch Cleeland's 2-11 led the stats sheet, with Lachie Henderson (2-13) and Hayden Hixon (2-30) joining him in snaring multiple poles.
THE GAME
Waaia 4-191 (Jordan Cleeland 65 not out, Mitch Cleeland 49, Fletcher Paul 1-26) defeated Euroa 100 (Lucas Paul 38, Rod Jones 27, Mitch Cleeland 2-11, Lachie Henderson 2-13, Hayden Hixon 2-30).
STAR PLAYER
Mitch Cleeland (Waaia): As was the case last season, Cleeland did the job with bat and ball for the Bombers on Saturday. His 49 was crucial alongside brother Jordan before he routed Euroa's openers to put the chase on the back foot immediately.
