The association is still searching for umpires to make sure all games are officiated sufficiently and, with D and E-grade action not starting until next weekend, any players looking to fill the first Saturday of the season - and well as their hip pocket - are encouraged to put their hand up.
In C-grade, 11 teams will take to the pitch this campaign, up from eight last season.

Eight teams will take part in the SJ Perry Shield D-grade competition when it starts, , with all games to be played as one-day matches this season.
Invergordon, Karramomus and Undera are the only three outfits remaining the same from the end of last season, with Central Park-St Brendan's, Kyabram, Northerners, Waaia and Dhurringile joining the ranks.
Seven teams will compete for the Whitelock Shield in E-grade, with Mooroopna, Old Students, Pine Lodge and Shepparton United returning for another crack.
The quartet is joined by Tatura, Murchison and Katandra.
