The Bulldogs face Berrigan at Picola in a qualifying final this weekend, the Saints having doubled up on the Bulldogs this season with eight and 26-point wins, the most recent coming just two games back in round 17.
Outside of those fixtures, it has been a phenomenal season from the Bulldogs, entering finals with a 14-2 record and the best defensive statistics in the league.
But that all counts for nothing this weekend; Bulldogs coach Shannon Edgar said beating the Saints would take a huge effort.
"Berrigan structures up really well, they're a very well-drilled side," Edgar said.
"They've beaten us the last two times we've played them and they're the only side that has beaten us this year, so we've got a task in front of us.
"I think we've got a few things up our sleeve that we can use and get a bit better against them.
"There's no-one we'll target, they've got a good even list, not dissimilar to ours. They're a tall side with really good talls, they've probably got an advantage in ruck and in the air."
Berrigan closed its regular season with a 63-point domination of Picola United to move to 13-3, having addressed late season losses to Rennie and Waaia with a three-game winning run.
Plenty of the Saints' success has started with gun ruckman Adam Way feeding the ball down the throats of quality midfielders like Jake and Tom Beams, while forwards Ted Walliss and Harley Middleton have slotted 85 goals between them this year.
For the Bulldogs, Travis Down leads the scoring with 45 goals, but he is just one of a number of dangerous talents, on-baller Simon Russell is expected to lead the way through the finals campaign.
Whichever side loses the game will take on Deniliquin Rovers in a knockout semi-final next weekend.
