Managed by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation and funded by the Federal Government, the initiative works with more than 9500 community sports clubs across Australia.
“Community sporting clubs that role-model healthy behaviours are leaders in their community and play an important role in reducing and preventing harms from alcohol and other drugs,” Alcohol and Drug Foundation chief executive Erin Lalor said.
“We know running a community sporting club is hard work. That’s why the Good Sports team is committed to guiding clubs through the Good Sports program, making it easier for already busy volunteers to implement."
