The black 2003 HSV Maloo ute was found undamaged on Francis St about 3pm Thursday. The vehicle was parked on the roadside on McKenzie Rd (Echuca-Kyabram Rd) near the Echuca airport when thieves struck between 5.50am and 7.30am. Detective Senior Constable Stuart Poulton of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said it was unknown if the vehicle had been used in any burglaries. "We're still making inquiries at this stage and appeal to anyone with information to come forward," he said. Any information can be passed onto Echuca police on 5483 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
