A woman was caught driving an unregistered Western Australian car on the Goulburn Valley Hwy.
Taleesha Papaluca, 29, of Beveridge, pleaded guilty in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court to driving while disqualified, driving an unregistered vehicle and not having a rear number plate.
Prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Anna Hanlon said Papaluca was driving an unregistered white Holden Rodeo while her licence was disqualified on the Goulburn Valley Hwy, Congupna on July 12.
There was no number plate on the rear of the car, which had a WA registration.
Representing herself in court, Papaluca said her licence had been disqualified after committing a driving offence “because of drugs”.
She told the court she had “turned things around” after completing a community corrections order for her previous offence, and she had stopped using drugs and making poor choices.
Magistrate Simon Zebrowski told Papaluca that she had “made good progress” and “done well to do what you’ve done”.
Papaluca was fined $500.
