Accident: Police investigate the scene of a fatal truck accident at Karramomus North

A truck driver has died following a single-vehicle crash at Karramomus North on Thursday, January 13.

Shepparton Police Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Phillips said the truck was travelling east on Coach Rd when it left the bitumen and struck a tree on the opposite side of the road before bursting into flames about 9.45am.
The truck was broken into several pieces from the impact with the tree, before it caught fire near the Karramomus Rd intersection.
The fire also burnt a section about 50m by 20m of grass in a nearby paddock, with firefighters called to extinguish the blaze.
The driver, a man in his 40s, died at the scene.
The road remains closed between Karramomus Rd and Keadys Rd while police investigations take place.
Cars are being diverted around the area, while trucks are asked to seek an alternate route.
