A Mooroopna shop that is alleged to have sold cheap tobacco has been attacked for the second time in less than three months.
In the latest attack, police said it was believed the MacIsaac Rd business was rammed by a white Toyota Prado about 4.30am on Saturday, January 17.
Police said the people in the vehicle did not get out of it, and drove off towards Echuca Rd.
No-one was inside at the time and the premises sustained significant structural damage, police said.
On Monday, the store — which still has old signage on it as a ‘Creative nail specialist’ — had sheets of tin over the entire shopfront and it was also fenced off.
Police are investigating the incident.
It is the second time there has been an attack on the store in less than three months, after it was deliberately set alight in the early hours of November 1 last year.
In that instance, police believe two unknown people used an accelerant to set fire to it.
Anyone who witnessed Saturday’s ramming, or has footage or information, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or anonymously at crimestoppersvic.com.au
