Two teenagers arrested over school assault

Police have arrested two Shepparton teenagers after an assault at Greater Shepparton Secondary College's Wanganui campus on Friday.

The teenagers, aged 15 and 18, were interviewed following the fight on the campus last week, which police said involved "a number of students from a Parkside Drive school".

The 15-year-old, from Kialla, has been released on bail and is expected to be charged on summons.

The 18-year-old Shepparton teenager has been charged with affray and assault-related matters and was bailed to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates' Court in September.

Police and security guards were brought into the Greater Shepparton Secondary College this week following violence last week after Acting Executive Principal Barbara O'Brien said non-students entering the school had contributed to the conflict.
