Mooroopna
There are so many questions to council that have gone unanswered about disabled parking bays in McLennan St, Mooroopna.
The two major highways that go through Shepparton get special treatment, like extra sets of traffic lights and a lower speed limit through Shepparton, while Mooroopna can’t get the speed limit reduced, extra sets of traffic lights or extra disabled parking.
These questions have been asked that many times but it keeps coming back to “it’s a major highway, we can’t do anything, only the Department of Transport can do anything”.
Too much handballing.
This also been brought up with a steering committee, but it’s not that important to them.
Secondly, further confusing things is that if you report a broken bit of guttering to council they handball it to the Department of Transport, but if you park too long in the car park, council is the first one to fine you.
