But as they continue to grow, they continue to develop distinct trends in the way they interact with each other and the world around them.
A bit of leave coinciding with a break from the girls’ usual daycare, kinder and extracurricular activities means I’ve been able to spend more time with them to itemise my thoughts.
Eden turns four next week — don’t get me started on how fast that time has flown — and she is positively thriving after experiencing kinder for the first time this year.

She’s always exhausted by the end of the day, but clearly bounces from activity to activity with the enthusiasm of an energiser bunny.
Her social skills also seem to be improving — although she’s always been the life of the party — and her role as a big sister is something she is embracing more and more.
She’s becoming not only more protective of Bonnie, but much happier to interact and play with her.
And of course, she’s still keen to pose for a photo at any opportunity.
Bonnie is one next month and starting to progress from pensive onlooker to cheeky instigator.
She’s bursting out of her shell and I can already see all of the mischief she’s going to get up to.
Not quite walking yet, but crawling at a mile a minute, there’s nothing in any room she won’t investigate and attempt to eat.
Three years has definitely been long enough between crawlers to forget just how much of a workout it is keeping them out of trouble.
And like her older sister, Bonnie is at home in the water and is quite happy to relax the day away on a wave.
