The event will feature an international visitor and dozens of pilots showcasing various aircraft types.
“We will have an international visitor to this year’s Fun Fly,” Echuca Moama Model Aero Club secretary and treasurer Fred West said.
“A guy called Ryu Sintuphrom, who is a world-class 3D pilot from Thailand.”
Mr Sintuphrom’s visit is sponsored by Pilot-RC and Desert Aircraft Australia.
“They are bringing him out to Australia to go to a couple of events, and we are lucky that he is coming out to our Fun Fly,” Mr West said.
“There will be an array of local and interstate pilots with their machines.”
The event expects 35 to 40 pilots from across Australia.
“They come from all over the place, some are from interstate, but over the river is interstate, quite a few from Melbourne, and Desert Aircraft Australia, the sponsors, are coming down from Queensland,” Mr West said.
“There will be aerobatic machines, warbirds, helicopters, all sorts of things — and they will be flying throughout the day.”
