The Berrigan Shire Awards were held at Barooga Botanical Gardens on Monday, and Berrigan was well represented by the Berrigan fourths footballers and the Berrigan Amateur Dramatic Society.

Congratulations to the Berrigan Football Club fourths team for being awarded Sports Team of the Year.
It was a magnificent reward for the boys, who had a stellar year on the football ground, winning the 2025 Premiership.
Congratulations to coach Rob Ryan, who has lead these boys on and off the field.
BADS won the 2026 Community Organisation/Event of the Year.
The cast and volunteers were very excited with this result after a fabulous year on the stage performing The Addams Family.

Before heading to Barooga, or for those staying local, a great morning was held by the Berrigan CWA for the annual Australia Day breakfast in Berrigan.
Locals and visitors enjoyed listening to the Cobram Pipe Band, and indulged in a full breakfast prepared by the wonderful volunteers.
The CWA thank everyone who supported this occasion.

Barefoot Bowls is back every Wednesday evening from January starting at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start. The comp will go through to March 11.
Grab your friends and workmates and form a team of three. New bowlers are especially welcome and bowls are available.
Cost is $10 per person, with a free sausage sizzle after play.
