The Rotary Club of Shepparton Central has donated $35,000 towards seven nursing educational scholarships at GV Health Foundation.

The contribution follows the club’s annual golf day fundraiser held at Shepparton Golf Club in February.

The Rotarians’ fundraising efforts are amplified too, with every $5,000 raised matched by the GV Health Foundation.

“In six years, this initiative has supported 27 scholarships, and every graduate has gone on to work at GV Health,” said Co-Golf Day Chairman Rob Kelly, highlighting the program’s lasting success.

The event was proudly backed by key sponsors Quicklift, Hot and Cold Shop, and Efex, whose generous support was felt throughout the day—even in their absence.

Their contributions, alongside the valued support of co-fundraising partners Peter Cardamone of Cardamone Real Estate and Jason Sherlock, Volkswagen Dealer Principal, played a vital role in the event’s success.

In an official cheque presentation ceremony on Wednesday, June 25, Rotary representatives handed over the donation to GV Health CEO Matt Sharp and GV Health Foundation Chair Stephen Merrylees, who accepted it on behalf of the Foundation.
