Traffic alerts | Some Greater Shepparton streets and roads to be closed

Greater Shepparton residents are advised that changed traffic conditions will be in place this week across the region.

The 2023 Masters and Junior Road National Championships are in town, and some sections of road will be closed from Thursday, September 21, to Sunday, September 24.

In Dookie, Dookie-Nalinga Rd and Dookie-Devenish Rd will be closed between Chateau Rd and Major Plains Rd and Duggans Rd on Thursday, between 8am and 4.30pm.

The same roads will be closed between Chateau Rd and Benalla Boundary Rd and Shepparton-Dookie College Rd between 8am to 5.30pm on Friday and 8am to 4.30pm on Saturday.

In Shepparton, Welsford St (between Knight and Fryers Sts), Nixon St (between Marungi and Wyndham Sts) and Marungi St (between Nixon and Fryers Sts) will be closed across the weekend.

All three three sections of road will be shut between 7am and 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Additionally, Hayes St, Shepparton, will also be closed for asphalt re-surfacing works next week.

On Tuesday, September 26, from 7.30am to 5pm, Hayes St between St Georges Rd and Field St will be shut to all through traffic.

Detours will be in place during the maintenance work.
