Six of Rochester Football Netball Club’s leading figures from the past four decades were among the almost 200-strong crowd at Royal Melbourne Hotel on Friday for the annual supporters’ luncheon. The Tigers, who had stars from the 1960s premierships alongside more modern-day success stories from 1992, 1996 (Under-18), 1999 and 2008 grand final winners, were celebrating the Bendigo league and Goulburn Valley league history of the club. The next major event for the club is its annual ball on June 17 at Moama Bowling Club. This weekend (May 27) is Say No to Violence round and the event will include free entry to Rochester Recreation Reserve and free family entertainment.
