The clinic has now partnered with the Shepparton Veterinary Clinic.
A statement posted on the vet's website said the clinic had partnered with the Shepparton clinic "to support you and your pet".
“Your pet records will be transferred to make things a little easier, and all existing Bed for Pet memberships will be honoured,” the statement said.
Customers, some who'd been using the clinic for decades, responded on the Tatura clinic's Facebook page.
Kathryn Lisa said she wished the doors were staying open.
“Have used this trusted clinic for many years. The service has been fabulous for both large and small animals,” she said.
“I’m thankful to all the staff over the years for their skill, kindness and dedication."
Rebecca Grant said she was "sad" to see the clinic close.
“Your clinic and staff were wonderful when I was bringing our small dog over a few years back.”
Bec Shaw said it was "terrible" news.
“I was a nurse at this clinic for many years (many years ago) and to see that it has closed is beyond belief,” she said.
“When I worked there it was a very busy clinic with 10 vets. Wow, seriously cannot believe it."
The clinic's large animal services shut their doors in December, citing staffing issues, with Bendigo-based Apiam buying this portion of the business to service more than 40 Tatura dairy farmers.
The small animals side of the business continued operating, but announced its closure in late March.
The closure leaves Tatura without a local veterinary clinic, and follows the announcement the town's Commonwealth Bank branch would close by the end of May.
