The Family Haven provides a safe space where families can share meals and access support services while building community connections.
With rising living costs, the demand for food relief at the Family Haven has increased significantly.
Lighthouse volunteer and partnerships broker Kathy Fuller said the food drive demonstrated practical community support.
“Tatura Milk staff stepped up,” Ms Fuller said.
“Their contribution means we can continue to respond to the needs we’re seeing on the ground.”
The initiative emerged through Lighthouse’s business engagement program, which connects organisations with local community projects.
“We work alongside businesses to shape support that is realistic, relevant and useful within our community,'” Ms Fuller said.
Bega Cheese executive assistant Lily Botterill emphasised the company’s community commitment.
“As a company deeply rooted in our local community, we believe in supporting those who support us,” she said.
“Participating in the Food Drive for the Family Haven was a meaningful way for our team to give back and help ensure that no family in our region goes without.”
Lighthouse offers various engagement opportunities for businesses, including laptop donations through Laptops with Love, industry tours for students, and volunteering at programs such as OLLY, school breakfast clubs and reading sessions.
