Murrumbidgee Council has also advised that Royal Life Saving is offering free swimming lessons at all council pools during the summer holidays, from January 12 to 23.
Lessons will cover ages from three to 14, and will be held afternoons and evenings.

A bronze plaque bearing the name of the Monash/Ned Kelly sculpture creator has now been placed in the main street.
This means the project is now complete.
The sculptor, Brett ‘Mon’ Garling, said he has received many photos from visitors to Jerilderie, taken beside the sculpture.
The Jerilderie Monash Committee once again thank the community for their generous support of the entire project.

The Anglican ladies who were selling tickets in their annual Christmas hamper raffle were grateful for the wonderful support they received last Friday.
Winners will be announced at the annual carols service, which will be held at St Stephen’s Anglican Church on Sunday, December 14, starting at 7.30pm.

It has been busy times at Jerilderie Public School in this final term for the year.
Jerilderie Public School K/2 students enjoyed their excursion to the Flying Fruit Fly Circus on November 4, and in a very short time they developed gymnastic skills which they confidently show-cased.
The school’s Flying Start transition program continues to be fun and engaging for the keen new learners.
And the Billie G Cookie Dough fundraiser was a great success, with 400 containers purchased to support the small but mighty P & C.

St Joseph’s Catholic School community have also been busy, with an excursion to Canberra for Year 5/6 students and their adult support team, which was an enriching opportunity for those involved.
This week, Year 4/5 students will be presenting their leadership speeches.
The Centacare Engagement Team has a day working with Year 3/4 on the Peer Relationship Program, and with Year 6 on the High School Transition Program.
Tomorrow, families are invited to St Joseph’s to attend the Come & See Showcase, which will give them an idea of what the students have been learning and creating throughout this year.
