So P!nk promises unforgettable night at Rich River

“She has had so many sold-out shows, we love her and she loves us.”

Mel said her show, So P!nk, went beyond a standard cover band performance.

“We do our best to go above and beyond just being live music; it's a full-on show,” she said.

“Live music, some stunts, roller skating, awesome costumes with multiple changes.

“It is going to be a big night of fun and all the wonderful songs that you will know.”

Mel is well known for her physical stunts during performances.

“People have to make sure they wait until the end and then they get me on my roller skates, so I always have at least some sort of stunt to share,” she said.

She has previously performed hanging upside down from a pole in Airlie Beach and from silks, with a show planned for Pakenham this year.

The tribute show is heading to Rich River, where audiences can expect a broad set list.

“For the show at Rich River, you can expect a lot of fun and all the classics and maybe even some for those die-hard fans,” Mel said.

“Some of the songs can be really gutsy and really ballsy, so sometimes they are my favourites, but then sometimes things like Dear Mr President or something where it is really quite touching.

“I can’t pick one favourite, as there are too many and it really depends on the vibe.

“Raise Your Glass is fun and a lot of people will get up to Just a Pill.”

Mel said P!nk's music was more complex than many people expected.

“We’re not just a live band; we’re not just a cover band that plays the songs of a particular artist.

“We do our best to go above and beyond just being live music; it’s a full-on show.

“I expect that people will come in with a certain idea, and I hope that we will exceed those expectations.

“I recommend that even if people think that they don’t know many P!nk songs, if they come along to the show, they will find it’s a show for everyone.”

So P!nk play the Rich River Golf Club with free entry on Saturday, October 3, with doors opening at 8pm.
