The protesters, from differing parts of the Goulburn Valley and Shepparton, were against mandatory vaccinations and were not happy with the way medical authorities and governments were handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
The protest was organised by members of three groups — Shepparton Stand in the Park, Free GV and GV Uprise.
Spokesman David Hession from Kialla said the group was concerned at the lack of freedom of choice because of the vaccine mandates, which was costing people their livelihoods.
“I refuse to put poison in my body,” he said.
Fellow protester Chris Brook from Nathalia said the premise behind the jab was corrupt and people who protested or resisted the policy were banished from public life.
Mr Hession was also upset with the mandated vaccination of children.
The protesters also questioned the safety of the vaccinations.
Mr Hession said the COVID-19 response was driven by greed for money.
The protest attracted curious lake picnickers and the occasional horn tooting by passing traffic and, in one case, an unfortunate car scrape when a driver was distracted by the activity.
