After a morning of frantic website refreshing and heart-rate spikes only Year 12s can understand, the Goulburn Valley’s 2025 duxes have officially been crowned.

These clever chickens certainly have their dux in a row.
Before we get into the high achievers, it’s important to congratulate every graduate who made it through the year.
Whether the ATAR was celebrated, shrugged at, or deleted from the device immediately, completing VCE is an achievement in itself and we wish every student the very best for the future ahead.

GSSC’s dux is Jaye Ennis, with an impressive 89.5 ATAR.
She hopes to study law at Deakin University in Geelong next year.
“I’m a bit nervous to move away from my family — they aren’t really keen on it either,” Jaye said.
“Mum works at the school and having her there helped me a little bit, always reminding me to do my homework.”
Jaye, who has been at GSSC for her entire secondary schooling, said she was shocked when she finally returned the missed calls from principal Barbara O’Brien.
Her advice for next year’s students?
“Find a good balance — it’s important to do fun things too,” Jaye said.

Notre Dame’s 2025 dux is Luke Martin, who achieved a 95.5 ATAR and plans to study a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in creative writing and screen culture.
“I absolutely wasn’t expecting to be dux,” Luke said.
“My parents were more excited than me.”
He credits his success to finding enjoyment in his subjects.
“Find ways to love what you’re learning about,” Luke said.

St Anne’s College is celebrating Charlotte Seddon, who earned an 86.9 ATAR and a place in the school’s history books as its first ever Year 7 to 12 dux.
Charlotte will stay local next year, studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education at La Trobe University Shepparton.
“I was more focused on going to work today at Bill & Beats,” she said with a laugh.
“Then I remembered we got the scores.”
She opened her results with her dad and brother — who is in Year 11 — and said his first reaction was: “I guess I’ve got to beat that.”
Staying in the Goulburn Valley was an intentional choice.
“I really wanted to stay local and have that familiarity,” Charlotte said.
“My teacher, Chelsea Nicholson, really confirmed that for me; I wouldn’t have made it through Year 12 without her.”
Her message to future VCE students was: “Don’t try and do it alone, it’s not a competition — help each other out.”
Shepparton Christian College
Shepparton Christian College’s dux for 2025 is Joshua Rogers, who chose not to disclose his score but has plenty to be proud of.

Maeve Wehner soared to a remarkable 99.6 ATAR, including a perfect study score of 50 in psychology.
She couldn’t attend the morning photo — she was on her way to the airport for a Fiji schoolies trip to celebrate, but shared a quick call with The News before take-off.
“Honestly, I wasn’t expecting this at all ... I had a very peaceful sleep last night,” she said with a laugh.
Maeve opened her results early this morning with her mum, dad and nan, then zipped her suitcase shut and headed straight for the car.
She hopes to study science at the University of Melbourne before moving into dentistry or medicine.
Attending the school from Years 7 to 12, Maeve says the academic environment pushed her in all the right ways.
