It is designed to bring a little extra fun and connection to the Jerilderie community.
This week, 35 beautifully coloured Easter eggs are being hidden throughout Jerilderie by the staff at JPS.
Community members are invited to join the hunt by downloading and printing the checklist from the Jerilderie Public School Facebook page, or by collecting a copy from the school’s front office.
The goal is simple – explore the town and try to locate all 35 eggs.
Additionally, there is a single golden egg that is not on the checklist, and once discovered the finder can either leave the egg where it is or move it to a new secret location somewhere within Jerilderie, creating an interactive and evolving challenge for the whole community.
JPS principal Laura Keech said the idea has been developed by the staff to encourage community connection and a sense of fun around town.
“At Jerilderie Public School we value our wider community and are always looking for ways to bring people together,” she said.
“This Easter Egg Hunt encourages families, friends and even travellers passing through Jerilderie to explore the town, have some fun and connect with one another. It’s a simple way to celebrate community spirit.”
The Community Easter Egg Hunt runs throughout the Easter period and concludes after Easter Monday, giving participants plenty of time to track down the colourful eggs.
