Rotary has conducted its 10th mock interview session, marking the club’s decade-long support of Year 10 students from Seymour College.
The Seymour club’s interview program sets out to give students a safe, structured way to practice real-world skills.
Rotary aims to instil confidence, communication and professionalism into the students — qualities they will carry into future studies and careers.
On Tuesday, October 28, seven Rotarians volunteered their time to participate in supporting these students to experience the job interview process.
Part of the experience was to provide constructive support and feedback in an interview situation.
The interviews were held at a familiar space for the students: in the Seymour College library.
All Rotarians were very impressed by the preparation and presentation of the students.
The Rotary Club of Seymour will continue to support this project as part of its ongoing support for youth in the community.
