State Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp provided the update on Thursday, which will see the two schools’ infrastructure and facilities upgraded – thanks to the Victorian Government’s Non-Government School Capital Fund.

Dixon Builders has been appointed to construct St Joseph's School’s $1,005,000 upgrade project, which will see the construction and refurbishment of administration, staff spaces and meeting rooms to support students with special needs.

St Augustine's College’s $2 million project will include the construction and refurbishment of general learning areas for years 3 and 4 and will be built by Landmark Construction Group. B3 Architecture was appointed to design the project.

“This investment in the Campaspe will create local jobs, pump money into the local economy and attract more families to live in the region,” Mr Gepp said.

“These local upgrades are part of the school building boom that is happening right across Victoria.

“Upgrading these schools will give local students access to great classrooms and facilities — because you can’t deliver a first-rate education in second-rate classrooms.”
