Even though it was a loss in the grand final for the Swans, the Racheles were proud of their efforts and playing together all year.
“Training together all year and playing together, that was great, but we couldn’t get it done in the end,” Lucas said.
The Racheles tried hard in the contest, with Isaac kicking a goal and Lucas and Liam doing their best for the Swans, but it was not enough, as Echuca took the chocolates.
The Racheles said Josh gave them advice before the big dance.
“He actually wished us good luck before the game, but has not watched us all year, so it was good to watch us,” Liam said.
Even though it wasn’t the day for the Racheles, their goal is still for all of them to play AFL in the future.
“Yes, hopefully, we can all be part of the AFL system in some way, but for now it is just to keep playing together and have fun,” Issac said.
“We all want to be part of it, it is something that we desire,” Lucas said.
