The store is giving away 67 free Portuguese flame grilled quarter chicken and chips to its Flame Rewards loyalty members from noon on Wednesday, June 10, to mark Dia de Portugal.
Operating on a first-come first-served basis, those who miss out can still purchase a Bondi Burger for $5 throughout the day.
Local Oporto franchisee owner Bishoy Soliman said it was a great opportunity to give back to the community.
“The Portuguese way is about generosity, sharing and bringing people together over great food,” he said.
“We know that many Aussies are feeling the pinch right now, so Dia de Portugal, or Portugal Day, is our moment to lean into this, give back and show up for the Oporto community in a meaningful way.”
Oporto’s annual Dia de Portugal tradition is a tribute to their Portuguese-inspired menu.
The free meals will be available in-store to loyalty members until sold out, and is limited to one per customer.
With stores involved across the country, Oporto is set to give away 15,000 free meals to loyalty members nationwide.
